Congratulations on your new little one! We are excited to partner with your growing family foster...
We love our babies here at Young Pediatrics, and we are here to support you and your newborn over the next few months and throughout their childhood. Newborns have special needs beyond that of older infants and toddlers. Below you will find some helpful tips and links specific to our tiniest patients.

- Add your newborn to their insurance plan before a month of age. Check here for details.
- Rest when you can, drink plenty of fluids, and take care of yourself. These first few weeks, your newborn sleep schedule will not be well established. Sleep when your baby sleeps, but keep him/her on their back and do not sleep with them.
- All close contact grown-ups (moms, dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc) should be up-to-date on vaccinations. Specifically, they need a Tdap (whooping cough vaccine) if they have not had one in the past 5 years. We would also recommend Flu and Covid Vaccines for them, and the RSV vaccine for eligible adults.
